Overview

Physiolo is the digital presence for Physio Lüpke-Okocha, a physiotherapy practice with locations in Neuss, Düsseldorf, and Duisburg, Germany. The practice wanted a modern, fast, and SEO-optimised website that could serve patients across all three locations — with service listings, team profiles, online booking integration, and multi-language support.

Built with Next.js and server-side rendering, the site delivers near-instant page loads and strong search engine visibility. The entire project was completed within four weeks.

Fast, accessible, and built for German healthcare standards — delivered in one month.

The Problem

The practice’s previous website was static, slow to load, and not optimised for mobile devices. Patients searching for physiotherapy services in Neuss or Düsseldorf were unlikely to find them in search results. The site also lacked key features — online booking integration, service detail pages, team directories, and a multi-location selector.

For a healthcare practice competing in a dense German market, this was a significant disadvantage.

Approach & Architecture

We chose Next.js with server-side rendering to solve two problems simultaneously: SEO visibility and page performance. SSR ensures that search engines see fully rendered HTML on every request, while the React-based architecture keeps the frontend interactive and maintainable.

The site structure was designed around the practice’s three locations. Each location has its own team page, contact information, and booking flow — sharing a single codebase with location-specific content pulled from a CMS-like data layer.

Multi-language support

The site serves both German and English audiences with a language toggle. Content is stored in structured data files and rendered based on the selected locale, making translations straightforward to maintain.

Online booking integration

Booking is handled through two external providers — Doctolib for the Neuss and Düsseldorf locations, and Praxwin for Duisburg. The site detects the selected location and directs the patient to the correct booking flow without friction.

Tech Stack

Next.js React SSR CSS Modules REST API

The frontend is built with Next.js and React, leveraging server-side rendering for SEO and performance. Styling uses CSS Modules for scoped, maintainable styles. Content is served through a structured data layer with REST endpoints, keeping the CMS flexible and the frontend decoupled.

Results

The site was delivered in four weeks, meeting all requirements for speed, SEO, accessibility, and multi-location support. Physiolo now serves as a modern digital front door for a growing healthcare practice across three German cities.
